At Bacaro you will find the devine

When my husband and I were thinking of a restaurant to go and celebrate both our birthdays the decision was easy. There are always a couple ideas but for some reason Bacaro in Providence always wins out. It is the kind of place where you can close your eyes and pick any spot on the menu and whatever you get will be simply Devine. In the past we have gone with friends and just did an evening of apps and drinks and every one was delicious. They have a lovely and very extensive selection of wine and make excellent margaritas. On Saturday I ordered the scallops with split pea risotto and they were literally the best cooked scallops I have ever had. Beautifully cooked with the perfect brown coating on top and a divinely delicious, thin and flavorful split pea risotto. My husband ordered the swordfish that came with a side of jasmine rice. He said it was unbelievably cooked to perfection and sat in a delish red sauce.

For Bacaro you do need reservations and remember if you are thinking about dessert, you must order it ahead while ordering your meal because they need the time to make it from scratch. Saturday we had the salted caramel chocolate torte which was indescribable in how light and delicious it was. (Like a giant Reese’s Peanut Butter cup!) We have found that any dish or dessert you order is worth every bite which is why we keep coming back (and for the atmosphere!) I’m sure you will enjoy it too.
